Today I got a phone call from Curtis! Some of you may not know but Curtis is our son and he is in Prison for a one night choice that changed his life and ours forever! He shared with me that tonight he was going to be able to attend a banquet. This banquet was for the inmates that have gone a year with no major report! He also shared with me that he was going to receive a huge meal and he was going to get to use real silverware for the first time in 2 1/2 years. Wow I sure do take things for granted. This has been a very difficult time but our cup brims with blessing! Our son, Curtis said to me the day he was sentenced, "Mom don't look at this as me going to prison, look at this as me going to the mission field." God continues to revive our drooping head with God stories from inside those walls and our cup brims with blessings!
WFW is not about books, authors, artists.. it’s about God and HIS WORD ONLY. WFW is about celebrating the gift of creativity through God’s Word.
Brimming with Blessings,
wow, what a testimony that God is good! hugs & prayers!
That really touch my heart!!! Thanks for sharing!! I would keep your son in my prayers and pray that God will continue to do a work in him. Happy WFW!!!
Oh sweet sister. I am so glad you came by my WFW today. Did you feel God leading you there? Little did you know I work in prison ministry. With teenage boys. I so understand his point about the real silverware. Praise God for the strength he is giving your son. It is a difficult place for him to be. I want to stay here awhile and learn more about your ministry. I'm sure I will be leaving more comments.
Thanks for sharing this Praise and thanks for sharing this sweet WFW so appropriate.
Blessings and prayers.
What a wonderful picture and scripture to go with the joy you received from the phone call from your son! God is truly the Lifter of our heads!
cathy, what a tremendous opportunity for God to work all things for His glory- i will be praying for you, your family, and your son- may God continue to be your strength and may you rest in His peace
First I must say, I love the title of your blog. I really like how the Message translation of this verse I learned so many years ago. Thanks for sharing your son's testimony. May the light of God continue to shine through the darkness.
Wow, what a sweet testimony that he can look at it like that!
Lovely testimony...God is not limited in where He works.
I love that picture. I have one of my kitten and a mug....they were the same size.
